Colaiste De Lacy wins the All-Ireland Inter-Schools Hunter Trials 2016

We are delighted to announce that the Equestrian team of Colaiste De Lacy won the All-Ireland Inter-Schools Hunter Trials 2016 that took place on Saturday 12th of March at Lisgarvan House, Ballon County Carlow.

68 teams from across Ireland were invited to participate in the national event. The team from Colaiste De Lacy comprised of second year students Emma Bruton and Sean Watson and 1st year student Libby Duff who performed with great skill and resilience to bring the coveted title to Colaiste De Lacy.

It is quite an achievement for these students to win this competition as the school only opened in 2014 and the team were competing against older students and schools who have a long standing record in winning the competition. The school has also been approached to consider hosting the event next year and we look forward to defending our title.

The school and students would like to thank the parents involved for their time and effort. We would also like to thank Maistir Harley for his time and efforts in coaching the team to great success.

Student Fees

All monies collected by Coláiste De Lacy are used to pay for a range of Student Support Services which may include student journal, locker rental, student insurance, texts to parents, book rental scheme, photocopying costs, student materials, student mock examinations and educational outings. In the event that there is a surplus of money collected for any one purpose, these remaining funds will be reinvested in the school to enhance the provision of Student Support Services and School Facilities for all students.
